Q: How big are
the cakes?
A: The cakes
are baked in a wide mouth pint mason jar. Their final weight
is approximately 1lb 2oz.
Q: What type of ingredients does Sweetums use in
their cakes and fruit spreads?
A: We use
only the freshest, first quality ingredients. Our fruit
spreads are made from fruit picked within 2 days of being
made. We use only fresh fruit from North Carolina.
Q: How long can
I store the cakes?
A: If left
unopened, the cakes have a shelf life of up to a year. If
opened the cakes will stay fresh up to 2 weeks if
refrigerated.
Q: How long can I store the fruit spreads?
A: Because
they are canned, they also have a shelf life of up to a
year.
Q: How do I get the cakes out of the jar?
A: You just
unscrew the ring lid and it is best to use a church key
style can opener to pop the lid off. Tip the jar over and
the cake should slide right out of the jar.
Q: Can I have you ship cakes or fruit spreads as a
gift?
A: We will
ship anywhere. They are great for shipping overseas
(military) as they stay fresh. We have shipped several to
Iraq. The troops love them because when they open the cakes,
it is like eating a fresh baked cake. We also offer a
special gift bag, tissue and card for $1.50.
Q: What are the shipping costs for the cakes?
A: Domestic
and military shipping and handling for one cake runs $5.00.
For multiple cakes the cost will lower per cake. If you plan
to purchase a large quantity, please email us first and we
can let you know the shipping cost.
Q: What are the shipping costs for the fruit spreads?
A: Domestic
and military shipping and handling for one jar is $4.00.
